Ask anyone in Canton what's new to eat this month and you'll probably hear about Conrad's. The family-owned chain is taking over the old Nosh & Grog space at the Village Shoppes, and word travels fast in a town this size. Conrad's is expected to join the dining options in Canton. This August, food is also on offer at the Sunday farmers market, on a brewery patio with the Blue Hills as a backdrop, and at a 225-year-old copper mill.
Restaurant Tenants at 95 Washington Street
The space at 95 Washington Street has had several restaurant tenants. Before it was Nosh & Grog, it was a Bertucci's. Now, according to reporting from Hoodline, Conrad's Casual Dining is set to take over the 5,636-square-foot unit at the Village Shoppes, the open-air center anchored by Shaw's at the corner of Route 27 and Washington Street known locally as Cobbs Corner. Conrad's has been a South Shore staple since 1999, when founder Bob Conrad opened his first location. It now runs four restaurants in Norwood, Walpole, Foxborough, and Needham, plus a Sudbury outpost that closed in 2022.
As of that April 2026 reporting, no opening date had been announced. The Village Shoppes sits at the convergence of Sharon, Canton, and Stoughton, and its tenant list includes Marshalls, HomeGoods, CVS, and The UPS Store.

Sunday at the Canton Farmers Market
The Canton Farmers Market runs every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 14 through October 18, on the front lawn of the Rodman Center at Canton High School, 960 Washington Street. It closes for one weekend, Labor Day, and otherwise it's the most consistent gathering this town has all summer.

Taqueria el Barrio sets up Friday 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. Crescent Ridge Ice Cream runs longer hours on the weekend, Friday 3 to 8 p.m. and both Saturday and Sunday 2 to 9 p.m.
Trillium is already booking into fall, with The Wolff Sisters set for October 15 and Reed Foehl for November 12, both part of its ongoing concert series.
